Upper Deep Creek: Located a couple of
miles outside of Bryson City, this is a
great spot to go for browns and rainbows.
Situated inside the Great Smoky Mountains
National Park, the daily limit is five fish
of 7 inches or more in length. This is a
great hiking and camping spot but remember
to obtain a camping permit for the area you
choose to visit. Since this area is located
on the border of North Carolina and
Tennessee you must purchase a license from
both states if you choose to fish on both
sides of the border.
There are two places where you can gain
access to the remote parts of the stream.
The first is two miles outside of Bryson
City near the campground. The second is on
Hwy 441 near the Newfound Gap overlook. |
