The 3rd annual Banner Elk Herb Festival is coming up in just a few weeks. If you are looking for a fun festival to attend to usher in the summer festivities, make plans to attend the arts & crafts and garden festival this year which takes place over the weekend of May 28th and May 29th. Each year attendees and vendors assemble on the historic Banner Elk School yard for lots of arts & crafts, great food, and live music. The grassy mall is perfect for hosting the more than 45 vendors that are going to set up shop.
Attendees can browse for items such as custom made jewelry, fine art, glass art, pottery and delicious home-made jams, jellies, and pies. Everyone loves visiting the Banner Elk Herb Festival for amazingly affordable items such as hand made quilts following the mountain tradition, fresh goat cheese and so much more. There will even be a Kids Zone section of the festival for the smallest attendees. Visit from 9-5 on Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday during the weekend long event. Also, there will be a special event for fundraising for the Banner Elk Fire Dept, “Dunk the Fireman” which is exactly what you will get to do should you sign up and enter.
